The goal of Qi Gong practice is to give birth to a state of being which is open, centered, flexible, relaxed and energized. As our body-mind relaxes, we spontaneously experience the subtle layers of radiance that enfold and protect us. As our “ch’i field” becomes balanced between heaven and earth, we cultivate a state of health and alignment in the physical, subtle and very subtle layers of consciousness. In this class, we will work with foundation level standing and sitting Qi Gong practices. These practices strengthen the physical body, balance the ch’i in the internal organs and help to develop a neutral and compassionate inner observer. Specifically, we will work with practices to open the three Dan Tiens of the belly, the chest and the head, strengthen the connection with heaven and earth, and heal the internal organs. The class will be responsive to the needs of the participants and is open to people at all stages of practice.
