Core Yoga
1 ½ hr yoga ½ hr meditation. postural integrity in the poses Teaching style influenced by Siddha and Iyengar. In Core Yoga classes, there is a strong emphasis on optimal alignment of the hips. This allows the postural or “anti-gravity” muscles to engage. Organized around this center, the body moves in and out of poses with effortlessness, ease and grace. This physical reality informs a way of being, both on and off the mat. For more information contact contact Debbie Cohen.
Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement®
Movement is essential to the developing brains of infants. Research shows that we are never too old to create new connections in the brain. Feldenkrais® Awareness Through Movement lessons are verbally guided movement sequences which help to clarify fundamental biological movement patterns and bring us closer to our optimum functioning as human beings. By slowing down, reducing your effort, and becoming aware of your habits and preferences in movement, more of your whole self becomes involved in every action. Previously unseen possibilities become available. Your system becomes more efficient and free to move with ease and spontaneity. For more information contact Tiffany Sankary.
Indoor Boot Camp

Svaroopa® Yoga
Svaroopa® Yoga is a style of Hatha Yoga developed by Swami Nirmalananda (formerly Rama Berch). The focus is on releasing deep, core tensions in the body. We use blankets and other props for comfortable support in the poses. We begin, as well as end, lying down with relaxation. Students are given lots of assistance and instruction. Poses are modified for better comfort, support and release. With careful alignment and softening into supported poses, we can create real changes in our body, mind and emotions.
Svaroopa® Yoga is for you if you have chronic (not acute stage) back pain, joint issues or systemic body issues. If you’ve tried other styles of yoga and they were too difficult, uncomfortable, fast, hot, crowded, confusing, effortful or you hurt afterward, this style’s for you. If you want to slow down, relax, feel good, come try a Svaroopa® Yoga class.
Svaroopa® Yoga is gentle, slow moving, nurturing, and inner focused. Svaroopa® Yoga can facilitate pain relief, stress relief, relaxation, flexibility, strengthening, clearing out of old mental and emotional patterns, and, with a daily practice, may also help many medical conditions. When we create these changes in ourselves, this has a “ripple effect”, first changing how we feel, and then changing how we interact with the people we come in contact with. That change ripples out to the whole world, helping to create a more peace-filled world, from the inside, out.
Come experience Svaroopa, the essence of your Being, your True Self. For more information contact Marjorie Crockett.
The Sounder Sleep System® consists of gentle yet remarkably effective movement and breathing techniques called NightTamers® that you do right in your own bed to make falling asleep easy and pleasurable. If you wake up during the night, the NightTamers get you back to sleep in no time.
You will also learn DayTamers® to quickly counteract the effects of stress, tension, and anxiety during waking hours, bringing you greater mental and physical ease and promoting peak performance.
In these turbulent times, these are essential tools for self-healing and inner peace. Contact Josh Schreiber Shalem for more information.

Yoga Awakening
Whatever style of hatha yoga you practice, from rigorous and sweaty to slow and meditative, there are some universal principles, applicable to all students, that are the foundation of a mature and grounded approach to yoga as a spiritual practice. Articulated in both the spiritual and scientific traditions, these principles are both simple to understand and yet difficult to put into practice.
In this ongoing Tuesday morning class, and the monthly Sunday morning workshops, we experience how integrating mindfulness, attention to flow and the allowing of gravity to flow through the body creates an inner environment of aliveness and spontaneity that is the heart of spiritual awakening and facilitates a seamless flow of embodied awareness from class/practice into your 24/7 life.
These yoga classes are for students who are comfortable in yoga (or with any form of embodied practice) and want to awaken to deeper dimensions of the human experience. $25 drop in Arthur Kilmurray.
Zen Vinyasa
U-ZEN (Yoga23) methodical system is an informational yoga practice system developed specifically for use in the modern Western society. Negative side effects of yoga practice, typical for most traditional approaches, whose programs were meant for use in historical, climatic, and energy-informational conditions very much different from those in which we live here and now, were taken into consideration and eliminated.
All exercises used in U-ZEN (Yoga23) belong to the most widespread and well-known physical, respiratory, and meditative yoga techniques. The system’s high efficiency lies in the exercise selection as well as in the optimal method of their usage.
To insure maximal safety of entering yoga practice, all U-ZEN (Yoga23) techniques are divided into five “stages.” The stages are the steps of “putting techniques into operation.” Drop-ins welcome. Contact Kostantin Barazov for more informaton.
